General Summary:

This role requires the incumbent to assist technicians in finding the correct part numbers, receiving, and distributing parts to both internal and external customers. Moreover, they will have to document all such transactions accurately, perform inventory checks regularly, and comply with OSHA/EPA regulations.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Provide the correct car part(s) to clientele (both internal and external) in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Pinpoint and receive the consignment of materials.
  • As soon as inventory items arrive, they must be checked for accuracy and quality before being logged.
  • It is essential to maintain the parts inventory to the highest standards of neatness and accuracy by employing cycle counts and stocking to the appropriate levels.
  • Managing the supply of services is an effective way to decrease wastage.
  • Allocating parts in the AutoMation system requires clear communication and coordination between team members or departments.
  • In case of any defective or wrong parts, returning them to the vendor or manufacturer is the recommended course of action.
  • The OSHA/EPA guidelines are designed to protect both workers and the environment, making it crucial for businesses to fully understand and comply with these regulations.
  • The key to success in the business world is to offer top-notch customer service at all times.
  • Perform the duties delegated to you by your Leaders and Managers to accomplish the assigned projects.

  • As an Associate 1, accountability involves owning your work and taking responsibility for ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and promptly

Benefits:

As per state law, CarMax staff members are entitled to paid vacation, sick leave and holiday pay.

Associates refer to workers that are eligible for commissions or hourly wages and work full-time hours:

  • By working with the Company, employees have the opportunity to accrue up to 48 hours of sick time each year, with this time accumulating on a per pay period basis. After a 90-day waiting period, vacation time is also available, with an annual amount of anywhere from 80 to 200 hours depending on years of service.
  • An Associate can expect a pay package that includes 8 hours of pay for a total of 6 scheduled holidays and one floating holiday.

Paid time off for full-time salaried associates is flexible and not limited to a specific count when it comes to reasons such as sick leaves, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc., as long as their manager approves it.
