This NOC Technical Analyst invests in the future of Southwest's People in their work supporting our NOC Customers with their use of designated systems and products. The Network Operations Control (NOC) is Southwest's world-class operations center that functions as the Heart of major operational decisions and coordination, and there is representation from each operational workgroup present in this space. This Analyst would work collaboratively with Teams and Leaders in the NOC, with Partners in Technology, various Product Owners/Managers, and Teams throughout the Company in order to perform analysis on tickets, prioritize work to correct any production issues, coordinate with stakeholders to publish changes, and more. The NOC Technical Analyst is excited to support these integral Teams and technology, where they'll have the opportunity to innovate and grow in their expertise each day.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. Responsibilities




  • Apply knowledge and skills of analysis, business processes, tools, domains, project methodologies, requirements definitions, and testing to solve a range of problems




  • Partner with other Technology team members to provide advice or solutions within area of expertise




  • Stay informed about current developments within expertise




  • Identify problems, perform root cause analysis, investigate information, perform impact analysis, and formulate and execute plans to develop solutions




  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems




  • Understand dependency identification processes in technology work, verify information and carefully review and check the accuracy of own work




  • Express ideas as well as business or technical requirements clearly and concisely in writing using appropriate levels of summary and synthesis




  • Understand at a broad level how technology platforms/architectures are applied to automated business solutions




  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation




  • Work with Stakeholders and business partners to maintain strong relationships to guarantee objectives and goals are met

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities




  • Knowledge of business analysis, process modeling and redesign




  • Knowledge of technical environments




  • Knowledge of software development methodologies




  • Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software




  • Skilled in analyzing medium to large Business or technical problems, articulating the problem or root cause, and translating the analysis into viable solution recommendations




  • Ability to work effectively in a strong customer service/team oriented environment




  • Ability to research, create, and document requirements, processes, and technical specifications




  • Ability to take on multiple assignments, whether administrative or project related, while maintaining a successful level of completion in all responsible work




  • Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions, including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events




Education



  • Required: High School Diploma or GED


Experience




  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:




  • Business analysis, process modeling and redesign




  • Project Management




  • Preferred: Experience in aviation and/or the airline industry in operations




  • Preferred: Experience in a ServiceNow and/or JiraAlign

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time




  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines

Competitive market salary from $97,750 per year to $108.600 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
