Vocational Nurse - Night Shift

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Working alongside registered nurses (RNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other professionals, you'll ensure that our patients receive the care and assistance they require.

Responsibilities of Licensed Vocational Nurse:

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, pain levels, and overall health status.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans under RN supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Monitor changes in patients' conditions and communicate with RNs or physicians as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans.
• Accurately document patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
• Respond promptly and compassionately to patient calls and requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Assist with specimen collection and basic laboratory tests, as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications needed for the position:

• Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of employment.
• Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in documentation and use of electronic health records (EHR) is desirable.
