Sales Floor Associate

Job Description:

The Sales Floor Associate job mandates managing merchandising, stocking, and cleaning duties to maintain the store's aesthetics while fulfilling the role of a cashier. Effective customer service is mandatory to contribute to an outstanding shopping experience with the ALDI team.

• Position Type: Full-Time
• The customary working hours fall anywhere from 32 to 40 hours per week

• Utilize effective communication channels while utilizing the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) to ensure that issues are resolved, goals are met, and professionalism is maintained.
• The duties of retail attendants include conducting customer transactions, executing cleaning chores and exhibiting merchandise in a well-maintained condition on the shelves
• The ultimate goal of offering exceptional customer service is to provide an enjoyable and stress-free shopping experience that upholds customer loyalty and satisfaction
• Success is achievable through effective collaboration with your team and clear communication with the store management team
• Through providing management with regular updates on product status, inventory losses, scanning errors, and other concerns, greater accountability can be achieved
• Comply with inventory counting standards and scrutinize the accuracy of inventory levels
• Failure to follow cash policies and procedures increases the risk of incurring financial losses
• Maintains the security and confidentiality of sensitive information by closely adhering to established company guidelines and policies
• Employees may be asked to perform tasks without prior notice which does not fall under their designated roles

Physical Demands:

• Competence in transferring items received in the store to the shelves and organizing them appropriately, including the ability to lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds at diverse heights
• In the store, it is common to conduct several physical tasks like sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking
• The ability to perform tasks is required with or without accommodation per company policy

Qualifications:

• The ALDI job vacancy requires all applicants to meet the requisite age standard of 18 years or above
• Capability to dispense prompt and polite assistance to clients

• Familiarize yourself with and regularly review the regulations governing the sale and handling of alcoholic beverages in your specific locality to avoid any compliance issues

Education and Experience:

• One of the prerequisites for this position is having a high school diploma or its equal
• Experience in retail is a preferred qualification
• Combining education with relevant experience can yield the same level of competence
