• This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.


• Responsible for both traditional and cloud based infrastructure implementations based on designs from infrastructure architects

• Provides good understanding of concepts related to server load balancing, WAS clustering, and other application scaling concepts


• Troubleshoots and resolves middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments


• Proactively monitors local and remote data center operations and equipment, including UPSs, HVAC, power, facility security systems and all datacenter processes and procedures


• Encourages an environment of sharing and team work among the team.


• Stays current with systems technology best practices and changing technologies, in order to maintain domain expertise and recommend enhancements or changes


• Supports communication and response process by responding to users on system issues, maintenance, and system status, and advising and escalating on any prolonged or major issues


• Manages and maintain Windows Active Directory, including DNS and Group Policies


• Provides guidance to lower level technicians and assists when and where necessary


• Travels, as required


• Mandatory rotational schedule for on-call off-hours support

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training


• 3 years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or administrator

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training


• 5+ years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or administrator,with a desired 3+ years in a relevant cloud, Kubernetes, automation development, and/or orchestration positions.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Experience with containers, docker, Kubernetes, NGINX is required.


• Excellent understanding of cloud foundational services - networks (routing, firewalls, load balancers, gateway etc.)


• Experience working in GCP, AWS, PCF, Azure, or other cloud-based technologies


• Familiarity with Terraform or similar automation tools are a benefit as we drive towards Infrastructure as Code (IaC)


• Excellent understanding of cloud foundational services - databases (relational and NoSQL)


• Strong understanding of application, server, and network security


• Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Git, Sonar, Azure DevOps, Artifactory) is preferred


• Excellent understanding and experience monitoring tools


• Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows system administration experience required


• Advanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutions


• In-depth knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processes


• Hands-on experience with writing Shell, Python, Groovy, PowerShell, or other scripting language


• Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds


• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge


• Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices


• Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments


• Proficiency in Agile project management methodology, specifically within infrastructure area
