How You can Make an Impact:
As a Revenue Cycle Management Advisor, you're responsible for providing consulting services to specialty physician practices, billing departments, hospital outpatient settings and other related healthcare entities with a concentration on revenue cycle operations including technical processes and coding compliance. As an expert in revenue cycle management, you'll conduct compliance audits, assist with complex inquiries, and present best practices and process workflow education.
How you'll spend your day:
Partner with McKesson's specialty provider infusion practices (remote & onsite) to support Revenue Cycle Management across the practice. Advise the practice core team to prioritize, adhere to timelines, motivate, communicate, educate, assess, identify areas of opportunity, and mitigate program risk.
Perform coding/compliance audits of physician and hospital outpatient services, either at the practice location or remotely, per customer preference and consistent with the scope of the agreement.
Perform comprehensive assessments of revenue cycle process and workflow, including charge capture and reconciliation procedures to ensure all services provided are charged appropriately and reported accurately.
Perform data analysis on practice management financial reports, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and make recommendations based on the specific customer needs or areas of concern.
Create and deliver accurate and well-written audit reports and a detailed tactical action plan, including clear explanations of findings as well as authoritative guidance for coding and workflow recommendations for all projects and identified areas of concern.

What You'll Need
Typically requires 7+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management programs/projects with concurrent process, people, and technology activities
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience. AHIMA or AAPC coding credential is preferred. A Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or clinical area is highly desirable.
Experience working across the entire Revenue Cycle (including Patient Access, HIM/Coding, and Patient Financial Services)
Experience in healthcare, coding, documentation and reimbursement, patient processes, business office procedures and/or management

Ability to interpret and analyze data from reports such as accounts receivable, aging, bad debt, top denials, insurance variance, etc.
Knowledge of organization policies and procedures and health care administration principals
Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS coding related to Evaluation and Management, oncology, and multi-specialty practices
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functional departments and work streams.
Intermediate skills with MS Office to include Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Highly detail-oriented individual with outstanding analytical and writing skills
Professional communication skills with the ability to present to all levels including executive leadership

Our Base Pay Range for this position
$103,200 - $172,000
