The Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Programs Advisor delivers on our Purpose by driving and implementing the overall cross-functional program strategy for AI at Southwest. This role is responsible for all aspects of project management for this highly visible program and works to drive delivery of the strategic roadmap for AI at Southwest. The Senior Artificial Intelligence Programs Advisor is an analytical thinker, who is ready for the opportunity to be part of meaningful and impactful initiatives and drive the future of Southwest.

Responsibilities




  • Act as a singular owner of the program, managing all aspects of stakeholder engagement and deliverables




  • Lead development of strategic roadmap and develop individual project plans for key initiatives




  • Provide expert level program management for all aspects of AI program, including governance forums, external resources, stakeholders, and subject matter experts




  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration with AI stakeholders; drive decisions and progress across individual projects that ladder up to the overall roadmap




  • Create executive level presentations with a story-telling methods to update executive committees and inform of program progress across the enterprise




  • Develop key performance indicators to measure and monitor progress, anticipate roadblocks, and resolve issues with corrective action




  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure relevant areas are engaged in time to develop deliverables within their area to support project deliverables.




  • Offer expert advice on program management, AI project portfolio best practices to senior management and key stakeholders




  • Assess the feasibility and potential impact of AI initiatives within the organization




  • Identify and address potential risks and challenges associated with AI projects, including ethical considerations, data privacy, and regulatory compliance




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities




  • Expert knowledge in both inductive and deductive reasoning and problem-solving approaches.




  • Expert knowledge in evaluating analytic methods to propose the appropriate end-to-end roadmap for business problems.




  • Expert knowledge in leveraging value definition frameworks and methodologies to size, scope, and prioritize various artificial intelligence or optimization initiatives.




  • Expert in leveraging enterprise communication tools to develop and deliver messaging of complex technical projects to appropriate stakeholders.




  • Expert in utilizing project management tools to define the product roadmap and project plan used to ensure the project has the resources needed to complete tasks on time.




  • Ability to build trust with all levels of Employees up to and including cross-functional senior leaders and must have the ability to properly manage highly sensitive and confidential information




  • Ability to lead and advise on highly complex artificial intelligence or optimization projects including acting as a leader in business stakeholder meetings, detailed task and deliverable definition and creation, and project schedule creation.




  • Ability to mentor team members on methods for communicating in an engaging way with technical and non-technical audiences up to and including cross-functional senior leaders




  • Ability to lead and advise project teams through a variety of situations and advises on alternative approaches/methodology, if necessary, to effectively and successfully meet objectives




Pay & Benefits:


Competitive market salary from $151,400 per year to $168,200 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.

Education:



  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

  • Consulting, program management, and cross-functional enterprise strategic projects
