Senior Financial Analyst

Description:

Responsible for Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, and Management Reporting

Cost Accounting

o Assist with month-end close by preparing necessary journal entries and analyzing inventory activity.

o Daily reporting and analysis of production and inventory.

o Reconciliation of inventory accounts by researching and correcting discrepancies

o Coordinates and supports periodic physical inventory and cycle count process, research inventory discrepancies

and adjustment calculations.

o Identify inventory process improvements and propose solutions to streamline processes.

o Assisting in the implementation of internal controls related to inventory.

o Capital project cost tracking and monitoring.

o Participate in review of BOM(Bill Of Material), standard cost, test new standard costs for accuracy.

o Maintain standard costs, cost accounting activities.

o Analyze production costs vs standard costs and propose applicable correction to the standard cost.

o Understand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and Inventory Policies and Guidelines

Financial Analysis

o Analyze company’s expenditures and create reports to advise on improving efficiency and reducing financial

waste.

o Compile data on overall manufacturing costs and analyze materials, direct and indirect labor costs, Overhead

costs, and manage connectivity across manufacturing and finance to translate business drivers into financial

impacts

o Assist with annual and monthly budgeting and forecasting processes.

o Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to the Sr. controller.

o Reviewing financial records, researching, and analyzing key business costs and adjusting the ledger to accurately

reflect the financials.

o Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the plant.

o Recommending changes to the company processes and polices to reduce cost and maximize profit.

Management Reporting

o Produce monthly financial reporting package, which include key metrics, financial results and variance reporting.

Analyze results vs forecast, budget, and prior year benchmarks. Provide additional analysis and financial support

for standard and ad hoc reporting requirements.
