Role Summary:
As a PTA, you will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to deliver excellent client services. Responsibilities include assisting in evaluations, participating in the development and re-evaluation of rehabilitative plans, and providing therapeutic exercises and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with evaluations and re-evaluations under a PT's direction.
  • Participate in clinical note preparation and progress tracking.
  • Perform therapeutic exercises and instruct patients in the use of self-help devices.
  • Report to the PT on patient progress and any adverse reactions to treatments.
  • Assist with discharge activities and preparation of discharge summaries.
  • Coordinate visit schedules with nursing supervision.
  • Provide instruction to other health team personnel and family members as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited PTA program.
  • Licensed as a PTA in Florida.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Valid driver's license with insured, reliable vehicle.
  • Preferably one year of home healthcare experience.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent observation, judgment, and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to perform job responsibilities.
