The Onboarding Coordinator is the primary point of contact for and provides critical support to candidates, hiring managers, and internal HR and business stakeholders to provide a world-class onboarding experience for newly hired employees. The Onboarding Coordinator performs a variety of duties to support the onboarding, transfer, and promotion processes for incoming and existing employees. This role will coordinate all aspects of the onboarding process, working collaboratively with HR colleagues, incoming staff, and hiring managers to streamline the completion of all required activities and related documentation, to efficiently meet anticipated start dates.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Advanced degree equivalent to 2 years of college, business college or an associate degree OR high school diploma and 4 years prior office/administrative experience in a busy setting, preferably in Human Resources Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and representatives of external agencies. Must be detail-oriented and have strong organization and time management skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments. Competency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Publisher
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Ceridian Dayforce software or other HRIS systems preferred. Experience coordinating the onboarding process.Candidates who do not meet all the preferred qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Significant Job Functions: The HR onboarding specialist is responsible for ensuring timely execution and completion of a seamless workflow for each new employee. Welcomes newly hired employees and executes the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey; coordinates the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles. o Initial email communication of process and follow-up o Policy acknowledgements and Competency review o Immunizations and Risk/Compliance approval processBackground checks and verifications including but not limited to; I-9, Office of Inspector General exclusion database, DCYF, etc. Crafts and sends communication with information about the company, onboarding agenda, equipment handover, dress code, parking options, perks and similar items. Ensures compliance with all processes and maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times. Adding and maintaining employee profile in HRIS system; hiring, transfer, terminations, etc. Coordinate with Credentialing Specialists and Onboarding Manager to ensure onboarding of Other Licensed or Certified Health Care Practitioner (OLCP), Non-Licensed Certified Staff(NLCS) and Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIP) Coordinates with employee resource groups that support new employees and connects new employees with all resources and supports. Challenges status quo and proactively identifies process improvements. Acts as a subject matter expert and makes recommendations on how to improve process efficiency. Identifies innovative and creative new ways to onboard new employees/reach a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience. Performs other related duties as assigned.Physical Effort/ Environment: This role is hybrid up to 2 days remote. The position requires extensive computer use in a general office environmentWork Schedule Demands:Full-time position of 40 hours per week. Workload may occasionally require working more than 40 hours per week.Communication Skills:Must possess excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and in small groups to staff, supervisors, and the public.
