The Director, Strategy & Planning is responsible for developing and leading efforts to better align Government Affairs (GA) and T-Mobile for Business/Government (TfB/G) and drive greater collaboration between the two organizations in order to take advantage of complementarities, open new sales opportunities by leveraging GA capabilities, and ultimately drive revenue growth in the TfB/G business.


Job Responsibilities:



  • This leader will be embedded in both organizations with responsibilities including but not limited to: liaising between GA and TfB/G leadership to ensure improved information-sharing, awareness, and coordination between the two organizations; developing and executing a strategic plan to drive greater TfB/G business lead generation through collaboration with GA; tracking and contributing to T-Mobile policy efforts to clear the path to business growth and development innovation; working with TfB/G leadership and teams to ensure that TfB/G practices align with T-Mobile's broader policy positions; assisting TfB/G in leveraging GA resources (including internal GA staff, outside counsel, consultants, lobbyists, memberships, etc.) and relationships (including with state and federal officials, trade and commercial associations, third party allies, and other industry partners) while promoting greater efficiency and eliminating any unnecessary duplication.


Work Experience:



  • Highly qualified candidates should have experience in enterprise sales and client management experience, financial fluency, familiarity with security and standards setting, and experience managing outside resources.

  • They should also have a law degree, have previous 10 plus years of experience and be equally well-versed in the legal, regulatory, policy, and political matters relevant to the GA organization.

  • The role further requires strong oral and written communication skills, strong team-building, management, and leadership skills and extensive experience in these areas.

  • The leader should also have experience developing strategic plans, budgets, and performance metrics, and executing on the same, as well as high-level critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Finally, the leader may be responsible for additional organizational management responsibilities within the Legal, GA, or TfB/G organizations, as appropriate to support the needs of the organization and advance T-Mobile company priorities.

  • At least 18 years of age
