This role involves managing and overseeing inventory practices for the entire establishment, including both the front-end and pharmacy sections. This entails training in standard operating procedures, monitoring execution, and supporting the management of pharmacy inventory. Key activities include receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. As the champion of On-Shelf Availability, you'll manage all in-house inventory processes including counting, pricing, and returns while ensuring the accuracy of planograms.

You will be tasked with managing the use of system applications and reports impacting the front-end and pharmacy's on-hand balance accuracy and pricing. Implementing and maintaining asset protection methods for the front-end and pharmacy will be a key responsibility, along with filing claims for warehouse and vendor discrepancies including damaged goods and prescription drugs.

In designated stores, when required, you will open and close the store in the absence of store management. This involves executing all essential system startups, handling cash responsibly, and ensuring the floor and stockroom are prepared for the day.

Customer Experience

Customer engagement will be part of your role, offering assistance with products and services. When serving as the duty leader in designated locations, you'll resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Sharing and modelling customer service best practices with the team to deliver a unique and delightful customer experience is a necessity.

Operations

- Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes.
- Scan all deliveries while the vendor is still in the store and focus on "One Box" receiving.
- Under the guidance of the pharmacist-in-charge, verify all pharmacy shipments for products physically received at the store.
- Execute On-Shelf Availability end-to-end process including warehouse and direct store delivery for planogrammed departments.
- Complete pharmacy inventory activities under the supervision of the pharmacist-in-charge.
- Execute all pricing activities including price changes, markdowns, and markdowns deletes.
- Support pharmacy ordering by ordering expense items and monitoring pharmacy manual orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for basic departments, stockroom, overstock locations, and under supervision for pharmacy.

Additional tasks include pharmacy smart counts, ensuring inventory compliance with state laws regarding regulated items, assisting in inventory records maintenance, and ensuring all counters and shelves are clean and well-merchandised.

Training & Personal Development

Continuous development through company-based trainings and e-learning modules, including safety training requirements is mandatory.

Communications

As a liaison between management and non-management team members, you'll communicate assigned tasks when serving as the duty leader and report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Basic Qualifications

- Have one year of prior retail work experience.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Flexibility to work a changing schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and execute multiple tasks.
- Identify operational issues and recommend and implement problem-solving strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate is preferable. If you have previous work experience with our organization, and an evaluation on file, it's an added advantage.
