Unit Charge Nurse - Optum
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Charge Nurse to join our team at Optum. As a Unit Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and overseeing the daily operations of the unit. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and ensure the delivery of evidence-based nursing interventions
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff on the unit
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, including electronic medical records
- Adhere to all ethical, regulatory, and legal standards of nursing practice
Requirements
- Valid RN license and a minimum of [X] years of nursing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- CPR certification
