Lead Material Handler Raws Warehouse

Department: Warehouse

Location: Spring Hill, TN

Job Overview

The Lead Material Handler Raws Warehouse oversees and completes raw pulls, receiving and ensures the warehouse is kept organized and clean while maintaining employee safety and quality of product.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and encouragement to Material Handlers;

  • Provide required training to staff;

  • Load and unload carriers;

  • Operate forklifts and follow strict forklift safety guidelines;

  • Oversee the pulling of raw ingredients according to both the work order and the priority list on the schedule using RFSmart to pick ingredient to the work order;

  • Stage ingredients for formulation;

  • Return remaining ingredients to inventory after measuring;

  • Oversee the consolidation of products on shelves;

  • Oversee the cleaning and organization of the warehouse floor as required;

  • Process damaged goods;

  • Oversee re-labeling of product, if needed;

  • Fill out paperwork and forms as required;

  • Follow and enforce GMP guidelines and processes as established in department SOPs;

  • Follow all safety procedures;

  • Update necessary spreadsheets;

  • Collect and file all necessary forklift paperwork.

  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements and Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required;

  • Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain forklift certification;

  • Must have detail and organization skills;

  • Must be willing to work with computers;

  • Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure and to perform the four operations with like or common fractions to compute percent;

  • Must work well with other departments to overcome obstacles;

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.;

  • Ability to climb ladders;

  • Ability to stand for an extended periods of time;

  • Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask, harness;

  • Ability to work in area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator;

  • Ability to work above shoulders;

  • Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement;

  • Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas;

  • Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
