In the absence of store management, the job holder will be responsible for initiating the start of a business day by opening and closing the store, activating necessary systems, managing cash and preparing the stock and floor room for the day. The job holder will also handle various cash management tasks such as product refunds, cash drops to the safe, and providing change at cash registers. Additionally, the job-holder will serve as a role model in providing a unique and enjoyable customer experience.

Responsibilities for Customer Experience include:

- Engaging with customers by warmly greeting them and offering product and service assistance.
- Efficiently handling customer issues and inquiries to maintain a positive customer experience.
- Modelling and sharing best practices in customer service with team members.
- Displaying professional interpersonal habits like proper greeting, maintaining eye contact and courtesy.
- Delivering a service that aligns excellently with Walgreen's service traits.

In Operations, the job holder is entrusted with the store keys for opening and closing the store in the absence of management.

Additional tasks include:

- Assisting and coaching other team members in the warehouse and vendor ordering process from order creation, review, receipt and opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
- Accountability for all sales registered on the assigned cash register.
- Assisting the manager or assistant manager in reviewing order exceptions, reverse logistics such as returns, handling empty packages.
- Assisting in the development and evaluation of displays; finishing resets and revisions.
- Ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficiently managing basic departments, stockroom and overstock locations.
- Ensuring pricing correctness and timely price changes as per regulations or compliance programs.
- Assisting with bookkeeping activities as required or requested.
- Assisting with ensuring interior and exterior store maintenance and cleanliness.
- Compliance with policies and procedures for food item separations and placements.
- Aided assurance of compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.

In Training and Personal Development:

- Attend trainings and complete PPLs requested by manager.
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by the state.

In Communications, job holder serves as liaison between management and non-management team members effectively communicating assigned tasks to team members when store management is absent.

The Basic Qualifications include:

- A minimum of one year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of store inventory control is preferable.
