Job Description: Clinical Pharmacy Support

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Clinical Pharmacy Support member. In this role, you will provide essential support to our pharmacy team, assisting with various clinical tasks and ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to our customers. Responsibilities:

2. Patient Consultation Support: Provide support to pharmacists during patient consultations, assisting with medication counseling, education, and adherence monitoring. Answer patient questions, address concerns, and provide guidance on medication use and safety.

3. Medication Management: Assist with medication management tasks, such as inventory control, stock rotation, and medication storage. Ensure that medications are properly stored, labeled, and maintained according to regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.

4. Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including patient medication profiles, medication histories, and prescription records. Enter data into pharmacy information systems and electronic health records as needed.

5. Clinical Support Services: Support pharmacists in the provision of clinical pharmacy services, such as medication therapy management, immunizations, and health screenings. Assist with patient assessments, medication reviews, and adherence monitoring activities.

6. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy, safety, and effectiveness of pharmacy operations. Perform medication safety checks, error prevention measures, and quality control procedures as directed by pharmacy management.

7. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. Greet customers, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. Address customer concerns and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements:

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or certification as a pharmacy technician preferred.

2. Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred but not required. Familiarity with pharmacy operations, terminology, and procedures is a plus.

3. Certification: Pharmacy technician certification (e.g., CPhT) preferred but not required. Willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe may be necessary.

4. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
