Job Description:

While performing their duties, the Food Prep Lead must demonstrate their commitment to WFM core values and goals. By promoting national, regional, and store programs and initiatives, the Food Prep Lead helps to create a positive work environment and company culture. Additionally, they must follow all applicable health and safety regulations, including those related to Food Safety, to ensure a safe and clean work environment for team members and customers alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a supervisor for the Prepared Foods Team and assigns tasks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Joins forces with the Prepared Foods Trainer to develop an inclusive training plan that encourages a high-performing team and lessens staff turnover.
  • Contributes to the training and development of new Team Members by utilizing training materials and evaluation tools.
  • It is important to keep cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and rotated correctly.
  • Starts and finishes departmental duties according to predefined rules.
  • Makes sure that all necessary respites are granted.
  • Relays the concerns of the team to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
  • Shows unparalleled dedication to retail execution, achieving the highest level of performance and effectiveness.
  • Cultivates an environment that fosters exceptional teamwork, positivity, and respect.
  • Keeps a watchful eye on the customers' conduct and needs, and leads the team to attend to them appropriately to ensure they are satisfied and pleased; quickly responds to any customer concerns or questions.

The wage scale allocated for this role ranges from $17.00 to $23.60 an hour, dependent on a candidate's prior expertise and familiarity.
