Knowledge Level Required for XPO Success:

To satisfy the basic qualifications, you need to have:

• Being of legal age to purchase and consume alcohol, as defined by reaching age 21
• A recognized Class A commercial driver's license
• Safe driving habits and avoiding distractions while behind the wheel are effective ways to maintain a clean driving record
• The job posting specifies that the suitable candidate must have or be willing to acquire endorsements in hazardous materials, tank vehicles, and doubles/triples within 90 days of their hire date
• To sail smoothly through a DOT drug test, it is imperative to abstain from illegal drugs and avoid testing positive or refusing to take a drug test in the 36 months preceding the test
• DOT Medical Certification Card possession or completion of a DOT physical that is paid for by the employer are both mandatory for commercial vehicle drivers under company policies
• The position requires the candidate to have a flexible schedule and the ability to work up to 12-14 hour shifts, including weekends and both day and night shifts

It would be great if you also have:

• Forklift experience

The position calls for the ability to:

• The position requires the individual to deftly handle and relocate bulky objects of different weights and sizes, ranging from approximately 50 lbs. to over 75 lbs. at times. In addition, moving a converter dolly that demands a pulling capacity of around 128 lbs. is part of the job description.
• Climbing down from the truck cab/trailer should also be done carefully, ensuring both feet are properly positioned on the steps or platform before stepping down
• Proficiently drive a truck tractor and/or forklift while maintaining a safe and secure environment, even during prolonged periods of sitting
• Walking and standing on uneven or slippery surfaces for extended periods is needed. This includes working in outdoor settings where the weather may be unfavorable
• Pulling a door open or towing a vehicle are examples of using your muscular strength in an action that achieves force in the opposite direction
• While prioritizing safety, transport hazardous/non-hazardous materials with an 18-wheeler throughout any weather condition for up to 11 hours
