Upholding high customer service standards is a crucial part of the job for any Lowe's associate. This involves providing top-notch assistance, answering questions, and helping customers complete transactions in a courteous and timely manner:

  • Demonstrating warmth and expertise while interacting with customers at Lowe's, and providing assistance with their home improvement projects.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of ticket loading and order processing to ensure that customers receive their purchases on time and as expected.
  • Encouraging a culture of safety in the workplace is crucial to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.

The Lowe's Pro Sales Specialist holds accountability for the satisfaction of the customers. This personnel is instrumental in guiding the customers in their product selection, ensuring that the quotes are precise, verifying the price labels, and interacting with customers to meet their requirements. Moreover, the associate caters to the customers with exceptional services by showing attentiveness, providing guidance, and carrying their merchandise. The associate must maintain a diligent eye for the safety and security of the store’s entrance.

The obligations of a Pro Sales Specialist depend on the particular department they are assigned to. These associates are divided into different departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls, and their assigned duties are based on the designated area. As a result, job applicants seeking a position as a Customer Service Associate will be assessed according to their abilities and expertise, and they may be assigned to any of these departments based on the company's hiring needs at the time.

Travel Requirements:

Regular travel is not a necessity for this position, although it may be required on an occasional basis for attending meetings or training sessions or providing support to other stores in the vicinity.

As an organization, we have specific criteria that we're looking for in potential candidates. Our first requirement is a strong work ethic and dedication to the job. We want individuals who are willing to put in the time and effort to get the job done right. Along with this, we're looking for people who have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. We want team players who can work effectively with others and are able to express themselves clearly:

  • The position is either classified as Hourly Full Time or Hourly Part Time, with allotted hours of 39 to 40 and up to 25 hours per week, respectively. However, based on the store's requirements, additional hours may be necessary.
  • Availability is required at all times on any day of the week.
  • The capability to carry out job responsibilities that involve extended periods of standing, sitting, and other physical tasks.
  • The Greeter department in certain stores mandates that CSAs have the ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds independently and can lift more than 10 pounds with or without support.
  • An essential requirement for CSAs in all departments (except for Greeter departments) is the ability to carry at least 25 pounds of weight without help, while they may carry more than 25 pounds with or without assistance.

To achieve success, it's necessary to possess certain elements that are universally required:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Half a year of familiarity with operating a computer, including the ability to enter, view, adjust, and transfer data.
  • Familiarity with prevalent retail technology, comprising of smartphones and tablets, gained through a 6-month hands-on experience.
  • Acquisition of necessary licensing or registration in sales may be mandated by law.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrating expertise in sales techniques, I have amassed 6 months of experience identifying and recommending suitable products to satisfy customer needs. This has included selling a range of items, such as credit cards, installations, and add-ons, while also explaining the benefits of warranties and product features.
  • During a half-year period of working in the retail industry, I have gained valuable experience in providing top-notch customer service. My skills include effectively resolving customer issues, helping customers to find products, greeting and acknowledging their presence, answering phone inquiries, fostering customer rapport, and expressing gratitude for their patronage.
  • If the position demands communication with a diverse customer base, having bilingual skills could be a valuable asset for the store.
  • A certification in a specific trade department, such as hardware or plumbing, can demonstrate an individual's expertise to potential employers.
