This position is for the Delta Technical Operations Division (TOC) finance analyst located in Atlanta GA. Key responsibilities include:
This position requires on site attendance 3 days per week and is based in Atlanta GA.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- Participate in the development of the monthly, quarterly, and long range OPEX and Capital forecasts for the Engine Maintenance Organization (EM)
- Evaluate performance to plan through variance analysis to understand maintenance cost drivers and provide recommendations to the EM leadership team on potential counter measures that can be deployed to course correct (includes articulating impact to financials)
- Executes on tasks associated with the monthly financial close process i.e., preparing and entering journal entries into SAP, etc.
- Partner with Integrated Product Team (IPT) stakeholders for specific engine lines to understand key performance indicators, and conduct variance analysis for performance to plan
- Frequently build presentations and present findings to senior leaders throughout the TOC EM and Finance organizations
- Work with multiple data sources, pull extracts, analyzing findings, synthesize data, and summarize findings
This position requires on site attendance 3 days per week and is based in Atlanta GA.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- 3 to 5 years of related experience highly preferred.
- Strong finance and accounting skills.
- Excellent time management, detail orientation, and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Robust analytical ability, the capability to deliver results, and excellent organization.
- An ability to interact with senior management. Must possess the ability to present complex material in a concise but comprehensive manner.
- Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.

- Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
- Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field
- Demonstrate working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, SAP Analysis for Office, Tableau, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
