Mental Health Paraprofessional

Job Title: Mental Health Technician

Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health conditions
- Assist in implementing treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of a licensed professional
- Monitor and document individual progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and recreational activities
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals

Skills:
- Experience working with children and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, or mental health conditions
- Knowledge of childhood development and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) for effective communication with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Ability to implement curriculum-based activities to promote learning and skill development
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with individuals and their families
- Excellent observation and documentation skills to track progress and report any concerns to the treatment team

This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with mental health conditions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children, experience in classroom or toddler care settings, and a passion for promoting positive mental health outcomes.
