At the forefront of establishing and maintaining high customer service standards in FedEx stores, the Payment Processor team member has a critical role in the organisation. A significant part of the role involves accurately processing customer purchases and efficiently handling cash and card transactions. Keeping the front area clean, organized, and presentable is also a critical part of this position. Alongside this, the team member will be required to assist customers with queries about promotions, locating products, and any other inquiries that they may have.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients in a professional yet approachable way, fostering a positive relationship from the start
- Ensure customer checkouts occur swiftly and without any errors to promote customer satisfaction
- It is part of my job to process cash and card payments from customers
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the front end is indispensable
- Offer assistance to customers seeking information or solutions
- Foster a collaborative environment with other team members to ensure seamless store operations
- Comply with established policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness in decision-making
- Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- A credential that indicates the attainment of academic proficiency at a certain level of education or equivalent
- Having worked as a cashier or in customer service earlier is highly desirable
- Superb abilities in handling customers' needs and expectations
- Strong communication skills
- Having the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-moving work environment
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds in weight
- Availability to work non-traditional hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
