Job Description


As part of Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) Quality and Reliability Engineering, the position of Quality Management Systems Engineer is responsible for helping drive Product Quality, Process Improvement, Quality Systems management, and Product Lifecycle (PLC) compliance for PSG products: FPGAs, structured ASICs, SW, and IP. This role partners with stakeholders across Intel PSG and Intel Corporate Quality to execute Quality System and Internal Audit activities, completion of product quality release milestone requirements, and performance metrics development and reporting on key business processes.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:




  • Support ISO 9001 Program with the objective to maintain PSG ISO 9001 Certification in collaboration with the PSG Malaysia team, as the San Jose, CA program lead




  • Drive PSG Quality Management System (QMS) activities, including audit surveillance efforts, QMS improvements, CAR implementation and validation, documentation management, internal audits, subcontractor management, and quality improvement initiatives




  • Coordinate Product Lifecycle (PLC) compliance for PSG products by defining and supporting analysis and resolution of new product rollout exceptions using corporate processes, tools, and systems, as well as partner with development teams on new process/tool/system improvements and fixes




  • Develop and manage Quality Performance metrics, with regular dashboard reports




  • Ensure PSG critical business processes are properly documented, reassessed periodically and maintained in Document Control Systems by closely assisting document owners




Position is preferably based in San Jose, CA, where the majority of PSG development collaborators, stakeholders, and audit partners are located.

Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience


Minimum Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Quality, Industrial, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Hardware, Software, Systems, or similar




  • Minimum 4 years of industry experience in quality assurance, quality/reliability engineering, customer quality engineering, applications engineering, or design engineering for semiconductor ICs/electronics/systems, with focus on Quality Assurance




  • 1+ years of experience of Quality Assurance processes and tools e.g. SIPOC, Risk Management, 8D, FMEA, Document Control




  • 1+ years of experience of ISO 9001 auditing expertise (or similar Quality Management System industry standard)




Preferred qualifications:




  • 1+ years of experience of program/project management capability and experience, as a project/program lead or in cross-functional environment




  • Can understand and analyze processes and their performance, to derive gaps and opportunities for improvement




  • Proficient in data collection, verification and closed-loop, actionable analysis




  • Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills




  • Teaching or training experience

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
