MUST HAVES:

- 5+ years of full cycle accounting (financial reporting, period-end closing,

- 2+ years of people management experience

- 1+ years of property management accounting experience

- Knowledge of budgeting/forecasting processes (hands-on experience preferred)

NICE TO HAVES:

- Intercompany accounting experience

- Bachelor's Degree

- Controller level or above experience

- Payroll accounting experience

- Entrada, Paylocity experience

- CPA preferred, not required

SOFT SKILLS:

- Self-starter

- Ownership mentality

Description:

Job Duties include, but not limited to:

• Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, inventory, revenue, and expense recognition, and perform various special analyses.

• Develop internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.

• Establish and maintain financial controls.

• Oversee payments of all accounts; ensuring all accounts are paid on time.

• Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other large quantities of money.

• Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements and reports.

• Create reports as requested by Executive Management and owners.

• Provide support to management, particularly in financial matters, as needed or requested.

• Coordinate processes as needed by external auditors.

• Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes when approved.

• Assist in budget preparations, ensure expenses are coded to the correct budgeted line item and prepare forecasts.

• Responsible to hire, supervise, motivate staff.

• Assists Executive Management with special projects and administrative tasks.

• Ensures staff compliance with company policies and procedures. Ensures staff performance of duties on a timely basis.

• Comply with the Washington State Residential Landlord & Tenant Act, Accounting Practices, Accounting Laws, and all other governmental laws and regulations.
