We are seeking dedicated, full-time and part-time outpatient mental health therapists who want to work in and contribute to a supportive team environment focused on providing excellent care.

Therapy Today Counseling & Consulting LLC is a thriving group psychotherapy practice in East Lansing, Michigan. We are committed to meeting the mental health needs of our community and are unique in our efforts to provide same day access to anyone who would like to receive their therapy today. Providing clinical excellence to our clients, superb customer service and a first-class experience for our therapists is our passion.

This position requires being in the office full-time in our East Lansing location. A hybrid option is available to work in the office 75% of the time and work from home the other 25%.

Fee split and salary options available.

For this position, licensing as a LPC is preferred but Therapy Today will consider candidates with a LLPC.

Therapist Qualifications/Skills:

Therapist Responsibilities Include:

  • Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
  • Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.
  • Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
  • Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.
  • Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
  • Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
  • Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
  • Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
  • Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
  • Current with all state licensing requirements
  • Some clinical experience and desire to learn
