What You Will Do:

Ensuring that products are properly displayed and stocked, conducting inventory checks, and coordinating with the merchandising team to ensure that the store is fully stocked is also an important responsibility:

  • Extending a warm and expert welcome to clients at Lowe's, assisting them with their home improvement project needs, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their purchases.
  • Checking the accuracy of ticket loading and order processing to ensure that customers receive their products on time and as they intended.
  • It's vital to ensure that all employees are trained in the proper use of equipment and tools to prevent workplace injuries.

A Lowe's Home Improvement Advisor is an essential part of the customer's journey with the company. These associates must select the appropriate products for the customer, guarantee that the pricing of the products is correct, generate accurate quotes, and adhere to the customer's requirement. Further, the associate must have outstanding customer service skills and interact with the customers, making them feel listened to, providing valuable assistance, and facilitating the carrying of the merchandise. The associate's responsibility for the safety and security of the door entrance increases their interactivity with the store.

When working as a Home Improvement Advisor, it is essential to be familiar with the company's policies and procedures to support and assist clients effectively. When faced with a situation beyond their expertise, they should be able to refer clients to another department or specialist who can better help them.

We're also seeking individuals who are passionate about their work. We want people who are driven by a genuine interest in their field and who are excited about the possibilities for growth and development. This involves a willingness to continue learning and expanding one's skill set:

  • The successful candidate should display unfailing flexibility in availability, being able to work on any day of the week, mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
  • Capability to perform work responsibilities that involve extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as other physical activities that are required for the job.
  • In select stores, the Greeter department mandates that CSAs can lift 10 pounds or more without support and are capable of handling more substantial loads with or without help.
  • The position of CSA in all departments excluding the Greeter department requires the ability to lift 25 pounds of weight unaided; heavier weights may be lifted with or without assistance.

There are critical factors needed to succeed that cannot be overlooked:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • For six months, I have been proficient in utilizing a computer, with the ability to enter, access, alter, and present information.
  • During a 6-month stint working in retail, I had the opportunity to familiarize myself with various technological tools such as smartphones and tablets, and learned to use them with ease.
  • Legal regulations may demand that one acquires the necessary licensure or registration in sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Drawing on 6 months of sales experience, I have mastered the art of accurately assessing customer requirements and selling them appropriate products. This includes recommending a variety of items such as credit cards, installations and add-ons, while intimately explaining the benefits of warranties and product features.
  • Over the course of six months working in retail, I have become proficient in providing excellent customer service. This encompasses skills such as competently dealing with and resolving customer issues, assisting customers in finding what they need, warmly welcoming them to the store, answering phone calls professionally, fostering positive customer relationships, and expressing gratitude for their continued loyalty.
  • Knowing more than one language can be an asset for the store in case it encounters customers who do not speak English fluently.
  • Many companies and organizations require employees to have a certification in trade-related departments like electrical or lawn and garden to ensure competency in the field.
