Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Security Estimator to join our team. The Security Estimator will play a critical role in assessing client needs, designing customized security solutions, and providing accurate cost estimates for projects. This position requires the following to be successful:

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough site surveys and assessments to understand client requirements, existing infrastructure, and potential security risks.

2. Collaborate with sales teams and clients to define project scope, objectives, and desired outcomes.

3. Design comprehensive security solutions, including access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other technologies, tailored to meet client needs and budget constraints.

4. Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and technical documentation for security projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.

5. Utilize industry knowledge and best practices to recommend appropriate security products, technologies, and implementation strategies.

6. Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain pricing, quotes, and technical specifications for equipment and services.

7. Present proposals and estimates to clients, addressing questions, concerns, and modifications as needed to secure project approval.

8. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful implementation and delivery of security solutions.

9. Stay informed about advancements in security technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to continually enhance expertise and offerings.

10. Provide ongoing support to sales teams, assisting with client meetings, presentations, and technical inquiries as a subject matter expert.

Qualifications:

· 7-10 years of security installation and project management with a keen understanding of the dynamics of construction and retrofits. (Bachelor's degree is not needed with experience)

· Proven experience in security system design, estimation, or project management, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.

· Proficiency with security technologies, including access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integration platforms.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to assess complex requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

· Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to security systems (e.g., NFPA, UL, ISC).

· Proficiency with software tools such as BlueBeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management applications.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., PSP, CPP, NICET) and training in security systems design or estimation are a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
